Midland County Jail Roster Overview
The public roster path starts from the Midland County Jail page or the county inmate roster landing page and sends users to the Public Safety Cloud JailTracker roster for Midland_County_MI. The county pages do not publish a fee or login requirement for the current inmate roster link. The roster is a current-custody tool for people held at Midland County Jail, not a full criminal-history search.
JailTracker may require a modern browser. During research, the dynamic roster shell returned a loading message in a text browser, but its client model exposed fields for last name, first name, search type, released-since values, current-inmate filters, captcha, profile keys, charges, bonds, court dates, holds, and image settings. If the roster fails, Midland County Central Dispatch directs jail-inmate questions to Midland County Jail at (989) 832-6612 ext. 0 or to the jail at 101 Fast Ice Drive.
Custody split: The county roster covers local jail custody. MDOC OTIS, BOP, ICE, and MiCOURT cover different record systems.
Use the Midland County Inmate Roster
A strong search starts with the most stable identity information. Last name is usually the best first field. First names, middle names, suffixes, hyphenated names, and spelling variants can narrow results after a broad pass. If the roster offers current and released search options, current inmates are the first choice for immediate custody and released-since options are useful for recent bonds or transfers.
- Open the official county jail page or roster landing page and choose the current inmate roster link.
- Search by last name first, then add first name after confirming spelling and name order.
- Use current-inmate filters before looking for released people, because a current-only setting can hide recent releases.
- Open the individual profile and compare booking date, charges, bond, holds, court data, and release status.
- If no record appears, call the jail information line or check MDOC OTIS, BOP, ICE, VINELink, or MiCOURT based on the custody type.
The Midland County Sheriff app is a mobile fallback for several jail functions. The official OCV landing page, Google Play listing, and Apple listing advertise current inmate information, visitation scheduling, deposits, alerts, anonymous tips, and sheriff service links.

Midland County Inmate Profile Fields
A roster record is a jail record, not a final court judgment. It may show the arresting agency's charge description, a bond amount, a court date, or a hold, but those details can change after review by the prosecutor or court. Always compare booking data with MiCOURT when the question is about the filed court charge, case status, or conviction.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | First, middle, and last-name fields where shown |
| Booking / original book date | The date and time tied to the jail booking |
| Release status/date | Whether a final release date and time exists |
| Booking or jacket number | Identifier fields that may be shown in grid or profile view |
| Mugshot/image | Image fields exist, but public display depends on agency settings |
| Charges | Description, charge status, arrest code, crime type, crime level, and counts |
| Court data | Court type, case number, court date, court time, and related numbers |
| Bond | Bond type, amount, fine amount, and display flags |
| Holds | Hold type, date, expiration, and reason for hold |
| VINE | Notification flags that may connect custody data to VINE |
Midland County Jail Fallbacks
Use the jail phone line when the roster will not load, the arrest is very recent, the name has several spellings, or the person may have been released quickly. Midland County Central Dispatch's FAQ gives a direct answer for jail status questions: call Midland County Jail at (989) 832-6612 ext. 0 or go to 101 Fast Ice Drive. The jail records division also answers telephone calls, handles video visitation and work release administration, and assists citizens with questions about someone in jail.

For records not posted online, use Midland County's FOIA page and NextRequest request form. A request should ask for an existing record and include a full name, approximate booking date, booking number if known, agency, and the record type sought. FOIA does not require the county to create a new document or answer a broad question.
County State Federal Inmate Records
Midland County inmate records often require more than one system because each system covers a different custody stage. A person can be booked into Midland County Jail after arrest, appear in District Court for arraignment, move to Circuit Court on a felony case, transfer to MDOC after sentencing, or be held on a federal or immigration matter. One name search in one portal will not cover all of those stages.
| Custody or Record Type | Where to Look | Key Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Local pretrial or jail sentence | Midland County JailTracker roster | Current roster may not show older releases |
| State prison, parole, or probation | MDOC OTIS | Does not include county jail or city lockup inmates |
| Custody and court notifications | Michigan VINELink | Notification tool, not a complete case file |
| Federal sentenced inmate | BOP locator | Federal sentenced inmates from 1982 to present |
| Immigration detainee | ICE ODLS | Uses A-number or biographical search paths |
Booking Process in Midland County
Midland County does not publish a full booking manual, but local pages confirm several steps. A person arrested or committed by a court may be brought to the county jail when local custody is required. The jail page lists open intake. Booking creates records that can feed JailTracker, jail records statistics, and later court searches. Standard jail intake also includes identification, property, health screening, classification, and housing placement.
Classification matters at this jail because the county describes separate pods for trustees, work release, female housing, maximum security, medium security, and direct supervision. Each pod has a classroom, a video visitation station, and an indoor/outdoor recreation room. The facilities history page also says the 2009 jail included dedicated medical and educational space. A new booking may not appear online at once, so a missing roster entry does not always mean the person is not in custody.
- Booking
- The jail intake record created after arrest or court commitment.
- Classification
- The jail assessment that helps assign security level and housing.
- Hold
- A custody block from another case, agency, court order, parole, federal, or ICE process.
- PR Bond
- Personal recognizance release based on a promise to appear and follow court conditions.
Midland County Jail Visitation
The Midland County jail visitation page states that all family jail visits are electronic and no on-site family visitation is permitted. Family visitors must use Securus Online, provide name, address, and photo ID, request access to the facility, wait for approval, and schedule Securus Video Visitation. Securus lists customer care at 877-578-3658 and 24/7/365 support.
| Visit Type | Schedule / Access | Rules / Vendor |
|---|---|---|
| Family jail visits | Electronic only | No on-site family visitation permitted |
| Securus video visits | Create account, submit ID, request facility access, wait for approval | Securus Video Visitation, 877-578-3658 |
| Clergy/ministry | Thursdays 9-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. | Agreement, photo ID, and pastor consent letter required |
| Attorney/legal | Schedule not published | Call the jail and use legal-mail address for legal mail |
The county's official Securus visitation screenshot shows the electronic-only visit setup and Securus account path.
That source is important because it confirms that normal family visits are not handled at the jail lobby.
Midland County Jail Mail and Funds
Mail rules changed in 2026. The county jail location page states that effective February 9, 2026, personal inmate mail is no longer accepted at the jail. Personal mail must go to the Securus Digital Mail Center, where compliant paper mail is scanned for eMessaging tablets. Legal mail remains separate and must go to the 105 Fast Ice Drive legal-mail address.
| Service | Access | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Personal mail | Incarcerated Name and ID #, Midland County Jail, PO Box 21267, Tampa, FL 33622 | No personal mail accepted at the jail after 02/09/2026 |
| Legal mail | Midland County Jail, Inmate Name, 105 Fast Ice Drive, Midland, MI 48642 | Do not send legal mail to the digital-mail center |
| Lobby deposits | Canteen kiosk | Cash or credit, no checks or money orders |
| Online deposits | Express Account instructions | Credit or debit card and arrestee name required |
| Phone deposits and commissary orders | 1-866-422-6833 | Commissary phone orders Monday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. |
These service channels should be checked against custody status before money, mail, or a visit is planned. A person who bonds out, transfers to MDOC, moves under federal authority, or is released after court may no longer be reachable through Midland County Jail services even if an older booking record or court entry still exists.
