This is a private reference website, not a Midland County government office. It cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release anyone, post bond, schedule a visit, or retrieve an official booking record. Use the official Midland County, Michigan, state, or federal channel that matches the record you need.

For online or written requests, choose the channel that fits the agency holding the record.

  • For a person currently held at the Midland County Jail, start with jail inmate records and use the jail phone fallback if the JailTracker roster does not load or the arrest is too recent.
  • For booking photos connected to county custody, use jail roster mugshots and the sheriff records or FOIA process when the photo is not shown online.
  • For charges, hearings, warrants, or case filings after an arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and the Michigan MiCOURT searches for Midland County 75th District Court or 42nd Circuit Court.
  • For facility-specific location, mail, visitation, and deposit details, use the Midland County Jail page.
  • For existing county records not available online, use Midland County's NextRequest FOIA portal. Michigan FOIA requests should describe an existing record closely enough for the county to locate it.
  • For a sentenced Michigan state prisoner, search MDOC OTIS. OTIS does not cover county jail inmates or people convicted but not yet sentenced to MDOC custody.
  • For a federal sentenced inmate, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. A federal pretrial detainee may be held through the U.S. Marshals in a local or contract facility before appearing in BOP.
  • For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System, which is separate from the county jail roster, MDOC, and BOP.
  • For custody or court status notifications, use Michigan VINELink when notification registration is appropriate.
  • For a mobile sheriff resource, the Midland County Sheriff app advertises current inmate information, visitation scheduling, deposits, tips, alerts, and sheriff service links.
